Beatnik Bandit | ||
---|---|---|---|
Built by: Paul Burke in Cotati, California This car is another one I tried to build back in the glorious early 60's, and at 9 years of age it was quite the glue bomb you might expect. This time I had better luck. I glued the body, fenders and interior tub together. I sanded and filled all the seems--which the interior is really tough. I primed it, then a base coat of House of Color Pearl white. I then cleared it and polished it out, then applied the decals. Once they dried, I cleared it again with 3 coats of enamel clear. It came out like glass. I turned the aluminum pulleys myself, and wired and plumbed the engine. The interior is done in pearl white, with gold piping, and red velvet rugs. |
