Ice Tease

Built by: Steve Hammann / Carlinville, IL.

When the idea of the TD Contest first came up I thought about doing an Ice T because I have not built one since my original back in the early Seventies, then I started dreaming up all the possibilities and out came the Ice Tease. (with apologies to Jim Johnson about the name. I dreamed it up and had the decals printed before I realized he had used that name…see the gallery for his great build)

The donor kit for this bash was a Revell ’31 Model A Ford Woody. I started by sectioning the body, cowl/firewall, and grill, and then added a scratch built top with panel delivery sides, cut down bumperettes on front and modified Pie Wagon headlights.

The rest of the kit is straight out of the box which has a really cool little flathead 4 banger that features twin Stromberg 97’s that I relocated to the left side of the engine for aesthetics. Paint is Testors Yellow with a misting of clear pearl. Decals are homemade on my PC and printed on clear mailing address labels. Wheels are again donors from two Maisto die cast motorcycles.
