This is the 2nd one of these I've built in this life time. The first one was while I was in summer camp in 1964.

After building the chassis in 2000, the anxiety of getting the color "right" was the next challenge. The body got painted and stripped so many times in the quest to get the right pink, it became useless. So I bought another kit just for the body.

I finally got the color as close to exact as possible by painting 2 coats of Cobra Colors Avalanche White lacquer, then 3 coats of Cobra Colors White Pearl lacquer, and finally 3 coats of LMG Hot Pink over that, followed by 2 coats of Cobra Colors Ultra Clear Lacquer.
