Dioramas are detailed model displays that include not only a central subject, but many authentic details that "complete" the scene. In model shows, dioramas merit their own categories and can contain amazing detail. Often, diorama parts are "scratch-built" by hand. They are truly their own art form.

To the left: I saw this amazing diorama within the 2001 Model Car Odyssey exhibit. It's called "The Tool Snatcher". If you've ever lost a tool while working on a car, you'll find this hilarious. You might have to supersize the pic to find that sneaky little green bugger! Keep in mind you can hold this thing in one hand.

Pontiac had a close relationship with Hurst. The innovative Hurst Dual Gate Shifter was originally an exclusive option on the GTO, then later sold for other applications in the speed-shop aftermarket. Called the "HIS and HERS", this unique feature offered both automatic transmission (HERS) and a manual three speed (HIS). It also came with a key to "lock out" the manual shift if so desired.
