'Twas
the Night Before the Odyssey
|
I flew to Los Angeles to meet my good buddy Larry Ferguson. He's going to drive me up to Vacaville, California to pick up the Goat from its owner, Jim Theobald. But first, we have to celebrate my odyssey with a REAL car guy: Dave Marek, chief designer and senior manager for Honda Americas. Dave Marek drew my Show Rod Rally home page and has his own section on the Rally, Flat Out Crazy! The Twin Palms is in downtown Pasadena. Originally owned by Kevin Costner, it's a great place for food, excellent brews and incredibly beautiful young women. Not that I noticed them very much--like the Blues Brothers, I was on a mission from God. To the left: That's Larry on my left and Dave on my right. |
