Street 'Vette
What's one of the most popular cars among custom stylists? The Corvette Stingray. And this kit is a 1/24 scale model of an actual full-size custom-styled 'Vette...one that's a familiar sight in Los Angeles area streets. The roof louvers are sporty and functional. A 454 Rat Motor with 4 speed trans is boss when the driver has a mind to spin those Goodyear boots. Black leather seats, Hooker Headers, and nerf bars add the finishing touches to this one-of-a-kind 'Vette...it's the only way to go. |

Dave's comments: Not surprising the Godfather of 70s show rods, Tom Daniel, chose the Vette as his own personal expression of a stylized muscle machine. Shortly after Tom got his own Vette customized, GM experimented with the Corvette design as seen in this late 70s Aerovette Corvette concept car. |
