Dune buggies are everywhere. They come in different
colors, sizes and shapes. They are built for "off-the-road" or "on-the-road"/
Some a fast, some are slow. A few a good-looking while others--The dune
buggy craze started a few years ago when people started stripping bodies
off of cars, putting large tires (sometimes 4 of them) on the rear and
taking-off across the dunes. These home-made hybrids created such interest
that several people started manufacturing the new type of car. To start
with, styling was basically ignored. Then--along came Bill Cushenberry
and styling took a giant step forward. Bill's "Gypsy" combines good
looks while still keeping the original intent of dune buggies, that
of running off-the-road. The "Gypsy" is "at home" whether at the drive-in
to on the sand dunes, a truly versatile piece of turned-on machinery.
