Dream
Rod
The Car Craft Dream Rod was designed by the staff of Car Craft Magazine in 1961, and the drawings first appeared in the October issue of that year. Because of the difficulty locating good model 'T', 'A', or Deuce bodies experienced by most custom rod builders, many body panels from late model cars were incorporated into the Dream Rod design. In early 1963 Bob Larivee of Promotions Inc., with the approval and help of Car Craft Magazine commissioned Bill Cushenbery to build the Dream Rod. Late that year, the car rolled out of Bill's shop on its way to tour the custom car shows. |

Dave's comments: Comes with a revolving display stand with real ball bearings! I don't understand the lineage of this rod, but MPC had a knockoff later called the Tiger Shark. |
