Coupster
This kit came with no description. On my request from Mr. Dave Carlock, here is his personal description of the Coupster: Well David, glad you like the Coupster! Basically, I based the design on some of the styling themes of the '38 Ford Deluxe Club Coupe, particularly the front grille and sweeping bright metal trim going from the front center split into the side trim for the body. I laid the grille back from the factory vertical theme and removed the side grilles. I conjectured a "Factory Show Car" of the late thirties if they had made them, and incorporated current Street Rod styling themes. I also added slanted B (or door) pillars and chopped the top a bit. The Coupster is unique in the Smoothster variations, which it is, in that there are optional parts for both styling and performance. Rather like the old 3-in-1 theme revisited. Hope you like it! Best regards, David Carlock |

Dave's comments: Former AMT showrod designer Dave Carlock hits another home run with this excellent custom rod. The kit includes optional detailing parts for custom assembly. While Dave designed many kits with AMT in the 60s and 70s, his new work with Testors shines with rods like this and my personal favorite, the Vantastic. |
