I tried to stay close to the reference pics and directions, but I was not trying to paint a perfect replica, but rather a fair representation. If it had been some other car I would have done different paint for the chassis, interior, etc. but most everything is SUPPOSED to be gold, gold, gold!

The original paint suggested in the instructions was Aztec Gold. I tried out a few different gold colors and settled on Testor’s Champagne Gold over a white base. Fenders are listed as Frost Grape, I used Testor’s Grape Pearl.

I did change the flower pot, white instead of “root beer”. I always thought that this was kind of a funky looking kit, but when it was built and sitting in front of me, it was really pretty cool.
