For some reason that I don't know why, I keep buying these parts lots of certain models. Like this one. And they all seem to be missing this that or another piece.
This is a collection of parts from kits ranging from the original 1964 release up to the 2016 release.
Funny though, they all seemed to be missing the engine. Most didn't have tires or gauges.
One thing I didn't like about this model since it's original inception is it's clam shell design, requiring the upper & lower body parts to be painted 1st and then the body to be glued together on top of the now hidden frame.
So as an experiment, I glued the upper & lower body parts together after cuttting out an opening for the interior bucket & frame to slide into. I am proud to say, IT WORKED!
I was able to use 2 of the 3 tires that came in the 5 parts kits I started with, so those are mounted up front. The rear slicks are from a recent AMT tires only "kit"
I forget what the engine is from, but the carbs were estranged from yet another kit.
Overall, I'm happy with the way it turned out. The green is from some rattle can because I bought a bunch over a short period of time and I don't want to waste money.
But I do think I'm cured from buying any more Silhouette parts boxes. I still have 4 or 5 kicking around.
