Silhouette (mild custom) | ||
---|---|---|---|
Built by: Rich Haberkorn of Hagerstown, Maryland A custom version of Bill Cushenbery's Silhouette Show Rod of 1963. I used some of the optional parts from the kit, like the wraparound windshield, front fenders, and the cool blower and scoop. I added a few custom items from parts boxes, like the wide wheels/tires, and steering wheel. I then added a scratch made rear spoiler. A bit tricky to build [without nasty body seams] because of all the body pieces so I assembled & sanded first and then painted (with the painted interior masked-off). I airbrushed it in Testors black pearl metallic. Bill did such a good job designing this baby it still looks cool even by today's standards! |
