Here are some photos of my Red Baron. This is built pretty much out of the box. I decided to display it as if it were being photographed for a magazine, complete with swimsuit clad model and R/C Triplane.

I could never figure out what you were supposed to do with the little triplane that was included in the kit. It certainly wasn't to scale with the car. Then it dawned on me that it could be the car owner's radio control model of Von Richthofen famous mount.

Anyhow, I made a base with a surface to look like an old airport concrete hard stand, used a Fujimi bathing Beauty I'd been saving for just such an occasion, added a Blue Max medallion made from some fine solder to hang around her neck and scratch built a R/C controller from some scrap plastic and fine wire to display along with the triplane.

The car and triplane are finished with Odds N Ends Insignia Red with various details picked out with Testors enamels. The girl was finished in various acrylics (special thanks to my wife Lisa for doing her make-up), and the base is a piece of poplar stained with dark mahogany and coated with Krylon Crystal Clear.
