The above all caps description was all that was included in the eBay auction to describe this build.
I know it was listed maybe 3, but at least 2 times before we finally settled on an agreed price.
I had been searching for one of these AMT Paddy Wagon kits for quite a long time, and finally scored a couple of poorly built-ups when this one came along.
This obviously has a few choice parts from the Monogram kit, but a tip of my cap to Richard for seeing a possibility I would have overlooked.
I believe this David Carlock/David Wilder design was only released once [1969]. I would imagine the violent box art as well as both the Monogram & MPC Paddy wagon's being released very shortly afterward had something to do with that.
This obviously shares a lot of design with the Fruit Wagon That Mr. Carlock was responsible for, which was also a double kit offering as was this.
The box lid presented here is from my own stash & though I'm not one to typically buy someone elses build, this was important enough for me to own and proudly display under glass on my shelf.
I do have a set of gold "Police" decals that Dan Warford created for me. But that's for the future.
