Green Hornet

Built by: Virgil Stanbary in Burlington, Iowa

This time with the reissue of the Monogram 'Green Hornet'. I built this version basically stock from the box.

The engine is wired. Since I built this as a street driven vehicle, I removed the kit radiator shell block and replaced it with wire mesh. The body is painted with Plasti-Kote metal flake green lacquer.

I was disappointed with the chrome in this reissue kit. I thought Monogram would have done a better job. Oh well, I guess we can't have everything.

My next 'Green Hornet' will be a Bonneville job void of most if not all chrome and fenderless!
