I, as most of us have, awaited the re-release of this Tom Daniel classic for years.. actually decades. This was my favorite model as a young teenager. I only have one headlight remaining of the original.

Instead of keeping the traditional color scheme I decided to do it up in white and blue. I thought the gold engine would set it off. The new shifter had some kind of soup-can-like top of which I ground off and painted it like a tigers tail. I added the appropriate bare metal foil in places and painted the dragon a metallic green and dry brushed the black over it. I had to keep the red ridges in his back. I did the lock and rivets on the back in brass and dry brushed the wooden parts.
