Deora

Built by: Paul Canney in Avon Lake, Ohio

1966 was an incredible year for model car builders. Many of the most famous show cars were released in model form in 66', including the Aurora Batmobile, Monogram Little Deuce, Barris Fireball 500, MPC Mako Shark, and the ultra rare ZZR.

The Deora, as well, was born that year and since then, has always seemed to be around, somewhere in the wings, waiting. Why it took 28 years for me to finally build one, I don't know.

This is box stock build from the 1st release of the new millennium, "incorrect since inception" tail light assembly and all. After fidgeting for a few nights, the clamshell entrance has been permanently affixed.

This has been painted with Cobra Color's Cosmic Gold lacquer, with a few coats of Gold Candy clear.

The wait is over. There's finally a Deora on my shelf. Or I as I refer to it. "Just another Deora"
