Cop Out(s) | ||
---|---|---|---|
Built by: Ramone Hendriks in Eindhoven, The Netherlands My two passions in building models are dragsters and showrods--combine the two, and there you have it: the original Cop Out, WOW!!!! I couldn't wait to get my hands on this one. This had to become my best build ever. (I say this every time to myself when I start a new project....lol). But still did I put great effort in it to make it look good because I liked the kit so much! I built it straight out of the box except for the rims and tires. Ran a wash of smoke clear over the chrome parts and added a few extra details (seat belts and a little bit of wiring) Primed and sanded the body, one coat of flat black, decals and numerous coats of clear. It turned out the way I wanted it to be. Then I stumbled across Dave Marek's design of the Cop Out 2, this looked even better than the one I built! And when I read in a post somewhere on the Coffin Corner that Dkal Dan produced a set of decals for it, it was obvious to me that I had to build this one too. I used a Mooneyes avenger funny car from Revell and turned it in the Cop Out 2. I wanted it to look exactly like Mr. Marek's design (white doors and roof) But every time I pulled away the masking material (I tried tape, bare metal foil and parafilm) I pulled away the paint. So I had the body swimming in the purple lake 3 times! That frustrated me so much that I gave up on the white doors and roof. The light bar I used is a narrowed bar from the other Cop Out. Added some details, and here they are: both the past and the future of law enforcement. |
