Cand-Tee ( kitbash)

Built by: Terry W Rollins in Orange County, CA

This is a remake of a model I built back in the early 60's that was destroyed. When I built the original, I had it in a local hobby shop show and it took first place, I think I was around 14 at the time. I never had a chance to enter it in another shows though. It was the last model I built.

Actually, the paint is HOK's "Candy Apple Red" over a silver base, there's no pearl in it. I've adjusted lighting so color looks closer to the true color. The chrome is all done with Alclad II. The interior is Krylon's "Make It Suede, Buckskin".

The "T" was my second build. I took it to the GSL last year, didn't win anything, but it was one of the models chosen by Model Car Magazine for their coverage of the show. I think that tickled me just as much if not more then winning a trophy.

I haven't been doing much lately because I just don't have room to work on anything. My wife and sis-in-law, who lives with us, don't like the smell. So, I'm building a workshop out back........I"LL HAVE MY OWN SPACE.
