Beer Wagon

Built by: Jay Lewis in Fridley, Minnesota

The Beer Wagon was built in 1994 from a reissue kit. The body was painted using a custom mix of House of Kolors candy lacquer over a silver base, followed
by several coats of clear. The paint was allowed to dry for a month then sanded and buffed.

The flat bed and beer barrels were first painted brown then dry brushed with brown and black to create a wood grain pattern. After allowing dry time they were
clear coated to even out the paint. The barrel bands were then bare metal foiled.

The kit injector stacks were replaced with aluminum tubing for a more realistic look and the kit drive chains were replaced with small copper chain from a craft store. Blue lines on the tires were hand painted using one shot enamel dry brushed on the ridges.
