"Alternomino" kitbash

Built by: Steve Hammann in Carlinville, Illinois

As stated before, I have done a number of the phantom El Caminos over the years. This one was done purely for amusement mainly because I picked up 3 of these kits on a closeout. I'm a fool for cheap plastic.

This AlterNoMino was done basically straight out of the box except for the body conversion. Since the 57 wings are hung on a modern day platform, I chose to give the paint job a custom / nostalgic flavor.

The top is Testors Metalic Green with a light overcoat of Testors Transparent Green. The spear was painted with Testors Chrome and the panel insert decal was used. The bottom portion was painted Testors 50's Aqua with a misting of Model Master Clear Pearl then a couple of coats of House Beautiful decorative Silver spray glitter (Michaels Craft Store) then it was all topped off with Testors High Gloss Clear. The interior was then painted in matching Green / Auqa colors.
