This is a mild custom based on Revell Monogram's 58 Thunderbird reissue. This is still a great kit, and I'm glad they added back some of the original custom parts. I remember the original was molded in highly polished black with red interior with a dark green tinted bubble top.

I started by adding some horizontal finnage to the rear, and molded in the front custom grill and the rear seats and head rests. I lowered the front and rear suspension and used the caps from the AMT 40 Ford sedan delivery kit.

The car was painted candy Pagan Gold over Tangerine over Solar Gold with Cocoa and Black Pearl highlights. The interior is a light tan. I also tinted the bubble with transparent black.

The only problem with this kit is the doors don't fit very well anymore, due to being popped so many times. Other than that, it's great to have that big ol' ugly bubble back!
