This is built from the Revell-Monogram '58 Thunderbird kit.

I lowered it with lowering blocks and moved the spindles up. I removed the teeth from the grill and added some photo-etched screen.

The fins were extended with sheet plastic and sprue glue for filler. I also molded the rear seat cover/headrests with sprue glue.

It is painted with Testors acrylics mixed with pearl powders. The flame decals are from a custom van kit and the pinstriping is from the tweedy bird II kit.

The interior is pearl white with orange flocking. The seat piping was made from single strand insulated wire.

It's a great kit now that they have included all the custom parts from the original run. You can't get any neater than that huge dual bubble top.
