Uncertain 'T' Bus (kitbash)

I built the Uncertain T - Bus in the early 1970's. After finishing this model it was packed up and stored until June 2001. This is this first public showing of the Uncertain T-Bus!

This is one of my favorite show rod models, I really like the wild cartoonish styling. The Uncertain T - Bus is based on Monogram's Uncertain T , with a Revell Porsche engine, wheels and tires from Monogram's Firecracker, radiator shell and taillights from Monogram's Pie Wagon and fenders from Revell's Moon Mixer.

The body sides and roof were lengthened with sheet plastic. The rear window and firewall area were also filled with sheet plastic, then the windows were cut out.

The fenders were shortened and reshaped to fit the Uncertain T-Bus. The roof was covered with black construction paper. The windows are made from orange acetate.

The body was painted with a metal flake lime gold base with candy tangerine orange sprayed over the lime gold. I don't remember all the details so I think I'll let the photos speak for themselves.
